Saturday, February 6. Family Havdalah. Gather at 6, candles at 6:15. Castro Valley. Family friendly evening with pizza and kids in bed on time. $6/adult, kids free. Please let us know you are coming (and get the address) by responding to the evite or calling 510 888 1404. This is a great way to check out our community.

Wednesday, February 10. Planning meeting. 7 p.m. at the home of Judith Seid and David Gates. All members welcome.

Weekend of February 12-15. Klez California Yiddish Culture Festival. TVCJ is a cosponsor for the more than 60 workshops, two concerts and three dance parties to be held in Palo Alto. Sunday, February 21. Theater party.TVCJ is one of the sponsors of the Jewish Film Festival. We'll get together at the Vine Theater for the 4:30 p.m. showing of Eli and Ben, then find a place to go to dinner together. Hard-core film buffs and then catch the 7 p.m. showing of Inside Out, which looks completely charming.

Sunday, February 28: Purim Party! Fun for adults and kids: hamentashn baking, costume parade, games and Purim play. Invite your friends! 10:30 a.m. at the Bothwell Center, 2466 8th St. in Livermore.

We're also planning a talk at a wine-tasting room in Pleasanton, and are sponsoring a movie at the Vine in Livermore as part of the Jewish Film Festival.

Jewish Culture School

Jewish Culture School is a twice-monthly Sunday School for ages 5-14 and focuses on culture and history. We sing, dance, cook, and learn about Jews everywhere in every time. We still have room for more students, and our engaging program ensures that this is a Jewish school your kids will enjoy. We meet twice a month in Pleasanton.
